Gentamicin (gentamicin injection pediatric) Injection is indicated in the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible strains of the following microorganisms - Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus species ( indole - positive and indole - negative) , Escherichia coli, Klebsiella-Enterobacter-Serratia species, Citrobacter .Clinical studies have shown Gentamicin ( gentamicin injection pediatric) Injection to be effective in bacterial neonatal sepsis; bacterial septicemia; and serious bacterial infections of the central nervous system ( meningitis ) , urinary tract , respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract ( including peritonitis ) , skin, bone

What is the contraindication of Gentamicin

Gentamicin should not be used if a person has a history of hypersensitivity, such as anaphylaxis, or other serious toxic reaction to gentamicin or any other aminoglycosides. Greater care is required in people with myasthenia gravis and other neuromuscular disorders as there is a risk of worsening weakness.
